Not many know this, but Ajay Devgn is also an entrepreneur besides being an actor. Along with a visual effects studio and a cinema chain, and few other businesses, the actor is also an investor in the single malt brand, GlenJourneys. With only 1200 limited edition bottles of the beverage, each bottle comes with a price tag of around Rs 60,000!
During a recent interaction with CNBC TV 18, Ajay said, “I have enjoyed drinking good alcohol ever since I was legally qualified to drink. I went to a wellness spa, and since then, I didn’t feel like drinking at all,” he shared, adding, “Now, I only have two small drinks a day. The bold flavour of the malt is something I love.”
Ajay is self-admittedly a “fashion guy” who got “hooked” to the drink after he “tasted the whisky” and that’s how he got involved with the brand and ended up investing.
During another interview with Money Control, Ajay had revealed that he used to be a “vodka drinker for quite some time.” This was before he quit drinking, after which got into tasting single malts. Later when he met the co-founder, Mokksh Sani of Cartel Bros in Scotland, it interested Ajay as a business opportunity.
