Ixigo, an Indian travel platform, has decided to shut off all hotel and flight bookings to Turkey, Azerbaijan and China. The decision came after Turkey and Azerbaijan. The travel bookings platform posted a social media post saying, “When it comes to Bharat, we don’t think twice,” reiterating its commitment to stand with India during these challenging times.

Ixigo’s action is not an isolated incident within the Indian travel industry. Following a similar trajectory, other notable travel booking platforms, namely EaseMyTrip and Cox and Kings, have also announced the suspension of hotel and flight booking services to the same three nations. This synchronized response suggests a potential trend within the Indian travel sector to align business decisions with national diplomatic stances, particularly when geopolitical events involve India.
