Google-backed Glance has also ventured into the world of fashion-based e-commerce with AI at the center of its product. The platform, called Glance AI, is an AI native commerce platform that caters to fashion lovers. Unlike other fashion shopping platforms that encourage the user to search for a specific product, Glance AI relies on AI to map the user’s preferences and come up with suitable recommendations.
The Glance AI app, which is already available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, will offer deeper integrations to Android phone manufacturers and telecom operators. For the time being, Glance AI will focus on fashion, and over the coming months, the app will offer a similar discovery-based experience in other popular shopping categories like beauty, accessories and travel.
Glance AI: How does it differ from Myntra, Ajio
Unlike conventional e-commerce stores, like Myntra and Ajio, that show multiple products to browse or search for, Glance AI allows users to discover their AI-curated stylized looks. Users need to take a selfie or upload an image and Glance AI provides an immersive experience by putting them in the center.
Glance says that the AI-generated suggestions happen in real-time with an AI-native commerce engine that uses advanced diffusion models, personalisation engines and a live commerce layer, mapping each user’s unique AI look to real, shoppable products from various brands across the globe.
Users will be able to explore looks, save and share them, set them as wallpapers and even visualise themselves in unique looks and collections driven by global trends and occasions. As far as data privacy is concerned, the brand says that users retain control over their data.
Glance AI’s proprietary AI models are integrated with Google Gemini and Imagen on Vertex AI to create those custom experiences for users.
“Embedded across phones, TVs and brand stores, Glance AI marks a paradigm shift in commerce,” says Naveen Tewari, Founder and CEO of InMobi and Glance.
