IndiGo Q4 Results: Profit jumps by 61.89%, says passengers up 19.6% – Check other details here – Industry News

IndiGo airline’s operator, Interglobe Aviation, on Wednesday released its fiscal fourth quarter earnings with profit at Rs 3,067.50 crore, beating estimates. This was 61.89 per cent higher in comparison to Rs 1,894.80 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 22,151.90 crore, up 24.27 per cent as against Rs 17,825.30 crore recorded during the fourth quarter of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 6,089.4 crore. 

According to a CNBC TV18 poll, Interglobe Aviation was expected to post Q4 profit at Rs 1,892 crore and revenue for the quarter in review was estimated at Rs 21,710 crore. 

For the fourth quarter, IndiGo’s passenger ticket revenues were at Rs 19,567.30 crore, posting an increase of 25.4 per cent and ancillary revenues came in at Rs 2,152.50 crore, up 25.2 per cent compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, it recorded capacity growth by 21.0 per cent to 42.1 billion and passengers increased by 19.6 per cent to 31.9 million.

While the total income for the quarter ended March 2025 came in at Rs 23,097.50 crore, total expenses incurred during the period in review were at Rs 19928.10 crore.

Ky highlights for FY25

For the full year, IndiGo reported a healthy net profit of Rs 7,258.40 crore, driven by strong demand for air travel and execution of its strategy. Excluding the impact of foreign exchange, IndiGo reported a net profit of Rs 8,867.60 crore, maintaining similar strong performance to the last year.

Network and fleet

As of 31st March 2025, fleet of 434 aircraft including 40 A320 CEOs (14 damp lease), 195 A320 NEOs, 135 A321 NEOs, 48 ATRs, 3 A321 freighters, 3 B777 (damp lease), 9 B737 (damp lease) and 1 B787 (damp lease); a net decrease of 3 passenger aircraft during the quarter. IndiGo operated at a peak of 2,304 daily flights during the quarter including non-scheduled flights. During Q4FY25, it provided scheduled services to 91 domestic destinations and 40 international destinations.

Going forward, it said, the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 capacity in terms of ASKs is expected to increase by mid teens as compared to the first quarter of fiscal year 2025.

Dividend announcement

The company board recommended a dividend of  Rs 10 (100 per cent) per equity share of the face value of Rs 10, subject to approval of the shareholders of the company at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM). The payment of dividend will be completed within 30 days of declaration at the ensuing AGM.

“…the Company has fixed the record date as August 13, 2025, for the purpose determining entitlement of the members for the final dividend (if declared at the ensuing AGM),” it said in a regulatory filing. 

Shares of Interglobe Aviation were down 0.37 per cent at 6:00 pm today at a trading price of Rs 5,465.65.
