HIT 3 Box Office Collection Day 3: HIT: The Third Case continues its impressive run at the box office, crossing Rs 41.75 crore in just three days since release. Despite stiff competition from Suriya’s Retro, HIT 3 has emerged as the clear front-runner at the domestic box office.
Released on May 1, the action-packed crime thriller earned approximately Rs 10.25 crore on Saturday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. Though this marks a dip from its strong opening day figure of Rs 21 crore, the film is expected to gain further momentum on Sunday. The Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 52.85% on Saturday, with peak interest seen in night shows, which reached 62.04%. Tamil occupancy stood at 38.56%.
HIT 3 has also been performing well overseas, particularly in North America, bolstering its global box office numbers. The film is written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who helmed the previous HIT installments. Produced by Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, the film stars Adivi Sesh, Srinidhi Shetty, Rao Ramesh, Niveta Thomas, and Brahmaji.
The intense and gritty tone of the film has drawn comparisons with other violent thrillers like Animal (2023), Marco (2024), and Kill (2023). Responding to these comparisons, Nani clarified that HIT 3 follows a unique narrative style. “It’s a different grammar. Once the lights go off, people will be completely immersed in the world of HIT 3. The violence won’t feel out of place,” he said during the trailer launch.
