An Air India flight, which took off from Delhi to Tel Aviv, has been diverted to Abu Dhabi on Sunday due to a missile attack near the airport in the Israeli city, according to PTI. The airline has also suspended the Tel Aviv flights till May 6.
The missile attack happened within an hour before the Air India flight AI 139, operated with a Boeing 787 aircraft, was about to land at Tel Aviv airport. The flight is also scheduled to return to Delhi after the diversion.
According to the information on the flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, the Air India flight was in Jordanian airspace when it was decided to divert to Abu Dhabi.
Air India’s flight from Tel Aviv to Delhi has been cancelled for Sunday. Air traffic to the Tel Aviv airport was briefly suspended after a missile launched from Yemen landed near the Tel Aviv airport.
