Kesari Chapter 2 has been seeing steady box office collections ever since its release. But its second weekend turned out to be the highest-grossing weekend for the film so far. The most profitable film this weekend, Kesari Chapter 2’s growth can be attributed to word-of-mouth promotions and several actors and political figures applauding the film.
The Akshay Kumar-starrer collected around Rs 8.15 crore nett on Sunday, crossing its opening day total of Rs 7.5 crore. After the second weekend, the total earnings of the film crossed Rs 65 crore nett, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Week 1: Rs 46.1 crore
Friday: Rs 4.05 crore
Saturday: Rs 7.15 crore

On its second Sunday, Kesari Chapter 2 recorded an overall occupancy of 29.02% in Hindi. The morning shows accounted for 13.51%, while afternoon and night shows saw 33.98% and 26.86% respectively. Evening shows recorded an occupancy of 41.74%.
Kesari Chapter 2 is currently competing with Jaat, Sikandar and Ground Zero at the box-office. But after the second weekend, the film beat all the other Bollywood releases.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is based on the book, The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The film chronicles the tragedy of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre and India’s struggle for justice under British Raj. It also stars Ananya Panday and R Madhavan in pivotal roles.
