Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Umesh Kumar, CEO at Interia, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
When I’m not working, I love immersing myself in activities that fuel both my mind and soul. Reading is a constant companion, whether it’s books on business, self-improvement, or technology. Meditation helps me stay centred, and I enjoy watching educational content—especially on business strategies, emerging technologies, AI, and global geopolitics. It keeps me informed and inspired!
How do you spend your weekends?
Weekends are all about balance for me. I make it a point to spend quality time with my family, cherishing those simple yet meaningful moments. It’s also a great time to catch up with friends, unwind, and recharge for the week ahead.
What are your favourite gadgets?
I’m a big fan of Apple products, and my iPhone and MacBook are my go-to gadgets. They seamlessly integrate into my work and personal life, making everything from productivity to entertainment smooth and efficient.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I weren’t in my current field, I’d love to be a business consultant and a life coach. Helping people unlock their potential, strategize for success, and navigate their personal and professional journeys excites me. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about guiding others toward growth and transformation.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
One place that holds a special spot in my heart is Padma Resort in Bali. The serene landscapes, tranquil ambiance, and warm hospitality make it a perfect escape from the daily hustle. It’s a place where nature and luxury blend beautifully, offering a refreshing retreat.
