The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has unveiled its latest innovation, SwaRail, a comprehensive mobile application designed to bring together virtually all railway-related services under one digital roof. Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), the app is currently in its trial phase (version v127) and is available for Android users via the Google Play Store. With services ranging from train bookings and live tracking to tourism packages and onboard meal ordering, SwaRail offers a seamless, all-in-one travel experience.
SwaRail introduces an intuitive and streamlined interface that enables users to check PNR status, book meals, explore station amenities, and access tourist services—all within a single, user-friendly dashboard. The app eliminates the need for frequent logins or switching between different apps, offering a smooth and consistent user experience. One standout feature is real-time train tracking, providing crucial updates for travelers waiting on platforms or planning their journey.
Now downloadable on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, the app supports login through existing IRCTC Rail Connect accounts or allows new users to sign up effortlessly. Thanks to its Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality, users can access multiple services with just one login credential.
