In 2027, Apple is expected to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone with the launch of two groundbreaking devices. According to a Bloomberg report, the tech giant is preparing to unveil its first foldable iPhone, alongside a radically redesigned iPhone featuring a seamless glass body and no visible screen cutouts.
Apple all-glass iPhone:
This new iPhone model aims to deliver a truly immersive, edge-to-edge display, eliminating the need for a notch or Dynamic Island, and potentially integrating the front-facing camera beneath the screen itself.

Apple reportedly envisions a futuristic design for this iPhone—a device constructed from a single, curved piece of glass, creating a sleek, continuous surface. This would mark a significant departure from the current design language, which uses separate glass panels on the front and back.
Apple foldable iPhone:
Beyond the iPhone redesign, Apple’s 2027 plans also include the long-anticipated launch of its first foldable smartphone. Designed to rival foldable models from Samsung and others, Apple’s device is said to adopt a book-style folding mechanism.
It may include an external display measuring approximately 5.5 to 5.7 inches, paired with an interior foldable screen ranging from 7.7 to 8 inches. When folded, the device is expected to be around 9 to 9.5mm thick and may use a robust hinge made from a blend of titanium alloy and stainless steel for improved durability.
Apple smart glasses:
Additionally, Apple is advancing development of its first smart glasses, which could launch as early as 2026 or 2027. These glasses are positioned to compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban Meta AI eyewear and are rumored to include built-in cameras, microphones, and AI-powered functions.
A custom-designed, energy-efficient chip will likely power the glasses, enabling capabilities like hands-free photo and video capture, real-time translation, object recognition, product scanning, and AI-assisted navigation—potentially offering a level of situational awareness similar to Meta’s Visual Intelligence technology.
Apple’s first robot:
The initial device is said to be a compact desktop robot featuring a robotic arm and an integrated AI assistant with a unique personality. According to reports, it will depend on a postponed smart home hub that is projected to launch earlier in the same year.
