KFC, Pizza Hut operator Sapphire Foods on Wednesday released its fiscal fourth quarter earnings report wherein profit remained flat at Rs 2.02 crore. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 711.34 crore. This was 12.61 per cent higher in comparison to Rs 631.70 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY24, led by KFC India and Pizza Hut Sri Lanka. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 106 crore, down 5.2 per cent.
Sapphire KFC SSSG trajectory (-1 per cent) continued to improve vs previous 2 quarters with flat SSTG. While restaurant revenue grew strongly by 12 per cent, restaurant EBITDA margin came at 15.7 per cent ( 300 bps YoY) due to lower absolute Average Daily Sales, higher delivery mix and operating deleverage. “Our sustained efforts behind improving our own delivery business has resulted in greater SSSG uplift in this channel vis a vis aggregator over the course of the entire year,” it said.
Key updates for FY25
For the full year, the company posted revenue at Rs 2875.40 crore, posting a growth of 11 per cent on-year. Sapphire has delivered double digit restaurant count and revenue growth. EBITDA, meanwhile grew by 4 per cent at 17.1 per cent and Adj. EBITDA declined by 4 per cent. Consolidated PAT stood at Rs 16.70 crore.
Sapphire KFC delivered robust performance with double digit revenue growth of 11 per cent and restaurant EBITDA margin of 17.3 per cent. “We achieved a significant milestone of 500 KFC restaurants during the year and thereby doubled the count over the last 3 years,” it said. Sri Lanka business, it added, had a very strong turnaround with 14 per cent LKR revenue growth (double digit SSSG & SSTG) and 24 per cent in INR terms with a healthy resturant EBITDA margin of 15.4 per cent.
For FY25, Sapphire Pizza Hut grew by 5 per cent with Restaurant EBITDA of 2.4% down (250 bps) and opened 15 restaurants during the year with 334 restaurants.
