Mentioning Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and Arjun Kapoor, he said “Bollywood is so,so rude.” Hours later, he briefly deactivated his account.
A statement from his team was released saying that the video was taken “out of context” and was “widely misinterpreted”. Clarifying, it stated that Babil Khan appreciated the names he mentioned and the Hindi film industry. After this social media debacle, son of late actor Irfan Khan has returned to Instagram quietly.

Ananya Panday responded to this statement publicy to show her support. Rumours about a cryptic post were shared across popular anonymous social media site, Reddit. Fans speculate whether the “life lately” post with a quote “What’s comin’ will come and we’ll meet when it does” relates to the Babil Khan incident.
Soon after Babil’s return, he posted on his story thanking Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal and Arijit Singh Sharing the official statement he wrote, “I genuinely don’t have the energy to indulge more but I do this as responsibility for my peers that I truly admire.”
Siddhant Chaturvedi Reaction
Siddhant Chaturvedi shared a small clip of Babil inside an airplane. Babil in that video said, “Mujhe itihaas likhna hai, kitaab nahi,” which translates to, “I want to create history, not just write a book.” After reiterating the statement from Khan’s team. Siddhant also posted his own story urging netizens to put an end to the controversy.
