Log out actor Babil Khan, son of late Irrfan Khan, recently deactivated his Instagram account, after a video shared by him went viral. His team has now issued a statement about the same.
In the now-deleted video, Babil was seen in tears, speaking about the bullies of the Bollywood film industry and taking names too. He called out actors like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and even singer Arijit Singh, calling them “so rude”.
“What I mean to say is that, I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey and Arjun Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav and even… Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names. Bollywood is so f****ed. Bollywood is so, so rude,” he said.
This video was widely circulated, especially on Reddit, with netizens and fans expressing their concern. Soon after, Babil deleted his Instagram account, which added to the concern of fans.
But his team has now released a statement, stating that the video was “widely misinterpreted and taken out of context.” They also clarified that the names Babil mentioned were all out of appreciation for the actors and their contribution to Hindi films.
