B2B software-as-a-service company Perfios has acquired healthcare information exchange platform IHX. This is Perfios’s third acquisition this year. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
IHX, which has a collaboration with 30,000 hospitals, currently processes over 40% of all cashless health insurance claims in India, representing over 10 million transactions and $1 billion claims annually.
Perfios, which primarily offers real-time financial data aggregation, analysis, and decisioning tools to banks, NBFCs and insurers, acquired IHX to strengthen its position in India’s rapidly evolving healthcare and insurance ecosystem.
The current health system is fragmented, with hospitals, insurers, and patients struggling with operational inefficiencies, rising costs, and a lack of real-time transparency, Perfios CEO Sabyasachi Goswami told FE.
By acquiring IHX, Perfios aims to embed its data intelligence capabilities into this network, offering end-to-end visibility and real-time analytics to streamline claims processing, prevent fraud, and boost operational efficiency.
This move aligns with Perfios’ broader ambition to become the “operating system” of the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector — expanding its reach beyond finance into insurtech and healthtech. Besides scaling IHX’s existing network, Perfios plans to develop new solutions that improves patient, hospital, and insurer experiences.
Prior to IHX, Perfios acquired Credit Nirvana, an AI-powered debt management and collections platform, and Clari5, a financial crime detection and risk management platform.
Perfios currently has 800-1,000 clients globally and a presence in 18 countries. The company has been heavily investing in inorganic growth as well as in-house R&D. It currently has five new products in the pipeline for commercial launch, including in segments such as e-commerce, healthcare, and Hrtech.
