The Startup Mahakumbh 2025 is set to take place in New Delhi, bringing together over 3,000 startups, 1,000 investors, and more than 10,000 delegates from over 50 countries. The event aims to foster global connections and promote entrepreneurial growth with a range of activities, including the Startup MahaRathi Challenge, theme-based pavilions, masterclasses, investor roundtables, and networking sessions.
Startup Mahakumbh theme
The theme of this year’s event, “Jile Se Jagat Tak” (From District to the World), reflects its mission to connect entrepreneurs from India’s small towns and districts with global industry leaders. Sanjiv, Joint Secretary of DPIIT, emphasised the event’s goal to support small-town startups in scaling their businesses to an international level.
The Startup MahaRathi Challenge will feature India’s top early to growth-stage startups in sectors such as AI, FinTech, HealthTech, Agritech, and DeepTech. Winners stand to gain national recognition from DPIIT, one-on-one mentorship from industry stalwarts, and access to a Rs 30 crore fund corpus, including grants of up to Rs 5 lakh for top performers.
In addition to the challenge, the event will showcase theme-based pavilions, providing startups a platform to pitch ideas to investors, policymakers, and potential partners. Attendees can also participate in masterclasses, panel discussions with seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers, and engage in closed-door meetings with key stakeholders.
The Futurepreneurs Program will feature young entrepreneurs from top colleges, offering them an opportunity to pitch AI-based solutions for a chance to win a Rs 1 crore award.
