Quint Digital Limited (QDL) has entered into a franchise agreement with Time Out Group to launch Time Out India, a multi-platform venture focused on city-based lifestyle and cultural content. The initiative will include the rollout of Time Out Media in India, with the option to bring the Time Out Market format to Indian cities.
Under the agreement, QDL will launch a digital platform, timeout.com/india, supported by social media and video content. The platform will provide editorial coverage of food, drink, arts, entertainment, and events across Indian cities. Content will be produced by local journalists and aimed at both residents and tourists seeking curated recommendations.
The agreement gives QDL exclusive rights to explore the launch of Time Out Market in India, a food and cultural market model developed by Time Out Group. Existing markets are located in cities including New York, Chicago, and Dubai. The concept combines editorial curation with physical venues featuring selected chefs, restaurants, and cultural programming.
According to statements from both companies, the Indian franchise will operate both the digital media and market formats, marking the first such arrangement for Time Out Group. The partnership will also offer multi-channel advertising options across digital and physical platforms. QDL, which operates The Quint, has stated that this move aligns with its expansion into the lifestyle and commerce sectors, building on its presence in digital media and publishing technologies.
