AniMay just got blessed with the golden addition of the 9th Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The highly anticipated annual affair returns today, May 25, 2025, with a grand roster of A-list global presenters and a new wave of anime celebrations. Famed voice actress Sally Amaki of Tomo-Chan in a Girl!, Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals fame will be hosting the live ceremony alongside popular entertainer Jon Kabira. Joining them, Stranger Things stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo, Grammy award-winning Kacey Musgraves, and Grammy nominated superstar J Balvin will take on their duties as celebrity anime fan presenters.
In a first, the live ceremony will also be available in Hindi dubs for Indian audiences. Musical performances by Creepy Nuts, 2025 Anime Award nominated hip-hop duo behind viral hits “Otonoke” and “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born”, rock band FLOW and LiSA, Japanese singer and iconic voice behind Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s opening theme “Gurenge,” will take this year’s event to the next level.

Meanwhile, Indian fans will be thrilled to find out that this year Best Voice Artist Performances in Hindi have also been honoured for their contribution to boosting anime popularity in the subcontinent. Abhishek Sharma (as Einar in Vinland Saga Season 2), Lohit Sharma (as Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2), Natasha John (as Frierein in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End), Rajesh Shukla (as Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling), Ranjit R Tiwari (as Yochi Isagi in BLUE LOCK Season 2) and Rushikesh Phunse (as Kafka Hibino in Kaiju No 8) are glorious inclusions to the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards nominees roster.
Meanwhile, the six acclaimed shows in the running for the Anime of the Year title are Dan Da Dan, Delicious in Dungeon, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s Ed, Kaiju No 8, Solo Leveling, The Apothecary Diaries. On the other hand, the Film of the Year nods were reserved for Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, Look Back, Mononoke the Movie: The Phantom in the Rain, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, Spy X Family Code: White and The Colors Within.
