“The Final Reckoning,” the latest instalment in the Mission Impossible franchise, is proving to be a powerhouse at the Indian box office. The film, which hit screens on May 17, is rapidly approaching the Rs 50 crore mark in just four days, surpassing the performance of several recent Indian releases. This success underscores the continued popularity of Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt.

On day 5 (Wednesday the film earned Rs 2.36 crore till 6 PM and the India net collection has reached Rs 47.36 crore across all languages in India over its first five days.

The film opened strong with Rs 16.5 crore on its first Saturday, followed by a slight increase to Rs 17 crore on Sunday. However, collections saw a significant drop on Monday, bringing in Rs 5.75 crore, a figure it maintained on Tuesday. 

Occupancy rate of Mission Impossible

While the 5-day India gross collection for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” isn’t explicitly stated as a single figure, the film recorded an overall English occupancy of 9.79% on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. This occupancy varied throughout the day, with morning shows seeing 6.66% and afternoon shows reaching 12.91%, while evening and night shows registered 0% occupancy.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, this eighth film sees Ethan Hunt and his IMF team battling a formidable rogue AI called Entity. The star-studded cast alongside Cruise includes Hayley Atwell, Angela Bassett, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Henry Czerny.
