Air travel to and from popular destinations in western India has been affected because of adverse weather conditions. IndiGo and SpiceJet have issued advisories warning passengers of possible delays and disruptions in operations due to heavy rains in Goa and Pune.
IndiGo, in its official update, stated that the flight schedules in Goa may be impacted due to continuous rainfall and unfavourable weather conditions. The airlines have advised passengers to check the status of their flights before leaving for the airport, and plan out extra travel time as bad weather may also hamper the traffic.

Similarly, SpiceJet has also issued an advisory related to flight operations in Pune. The airline mentioned on its social media account at X that because of poor weather conditions in the region, both the arrivals and departure along with connecting flights, are expected to face rescheduling or delays. Passengers who have their scheduled flight with SpiceJet have been asked to stay updated through the airline’s website for all the real-time updates on flight operations.

Both the carrier and the passenger have highlighted the importance of checking flight status before heading out to the airport. Flyers are also advised to maintain contact with the airline support staffs through their official website and helpline numbers.
IMD Weather forecast for Goa
As the weather remains unpredictable, passengers need to stay flexible with their travel plans in case of delay or while boarding connecting flights.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continuous light to moderate showers across parts of North and South Goa. The city is also expected to experience isolated thunderstorms and wind speed is likely to be at 30-40 km/h.
