BHEL Q4 Results: Profit rises by 3.03% to Rs 504.45 crore, misses estimates; dividend announced – Industry News

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Friday released its fiscal fourth quarter earnings with profit at Rs 504.45 crore, missing estimates. This was 3.03 per cent higher in comparison to Rs 489.62 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 8993.37 crore, up 8.88 per cent as against Rs 8260.25 crore reported during the fourth quarter of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 831 crore.

According to a CNBC TV18 poll, BHEL was expected to report Q4 profit at Rs 696 crore and revenue for the quarter in review was estimated at Rs 10,715 crore. 

The company reported a slight uptick in its power segment revenue at Rs 6,192 crore in Q4FY25 in comparison to Rs 6,168 crore in Q4FY24. Meanwhile, revenue from its industry segment went up by 34 per cent on-year to Rs 2,800.96 crore in Q4FY25 as against Rs 2,091.98 crore in the same quarter last year.

During the fiscal 2024-25, BHEL posted consolidated net profit at Rs 533.90 crore as against Rs 282.22 crore in the previous financial year. Total income in the fiscal advanced to Rs 28,804.79 crore from Rs 24,439.05 crore a year ago.

Dividend announcement

The company board also recommended a final dividend @ 25 per cent (Rs 0.50 per share of Rs 2 each) on the paid up share capital of the Company for FY 2024-25. “Final Dividend, if declared by the Company in the Annual General Meeting shall be paid/ dispatched within 30 days from the date of Annual General Meeting,” it said in a regulatory filing.
