Apple is preparing to unveil its upcoming iPhone 17 series, which is likely to launch in September. With growing excitement among fans and tech enthusiasts, various leaks and rumors have started to reveal key details about the next-gen devices. The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to bring notable upgrades across the board—including design tweaks, enhanced displays, improved performance, and major camera enhancements—making it one of the most anticipated iPhone launches in recent memory.
iPhone 17 Series Expected India Pricing Details
Apple maintained the same pricing for the iPhone 16 in the US last year, with the base model starting at $799 (approximately Rs 67,000). In India, the launch price began at Rs 79,900. Based on current trends and no major pricing shifts anticipated, the upcoming iPhone 17 is also expected to debut at a similar starting price point.
iPhone 17 Series Camera Upgrades: Major Changes Expected
After bringing 48MP main and ultra-wide cameras to the iPhone 14 Pro and later integrating them into the standard models, Apple may be preparing a major update to the one lens that has remained unchanged—the telephoto sensor. Reports suggest that the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could feature a new 48MP telephoto lens, marking a substantial leap from the 12MP version found in the iPhone 16 Pro models.
In addition to rear camera enhancements, Apple is also rumored to be upgrading the front camera across the iPhone 17 lineup. All three models—the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max—are expected to debut with a new 24MP front-facing camera, replacing the current 12MP TrueDepth setup. This would be a significant improvement in selfie and video call quality for users.

iPhone 17 Series Key Specs (Expected)
Apple is expected to shake up its lineup this year by dropping the Plus variant and introducing a fresh, lightweight model—rumored to be called the iPhone 17 Air. This new addition might become the slimmest iPhone ever released. Another major change could be the introduction of a 120Hz refresh rate on the standard iPhone 17 models, a notable upgrade from the existing 60Hz displays.
Apple may also slightly increase the display size of the regular models from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. While the Dynamic Island feature is expected to return, it could appear in a more compact and refined form.
Design-wise, the rear of the phone may continue to sport the familiar pill-shaped dual-camera module. Under the hood, the non-Pro iPhone 17 variants are rumored to be powered by a new A19 chip, built using a more advanced 3nm process, which should contribute to better performance and improved battery efficiency.
