Swiggy
Food delivery platform Swiggy has officially exited the private label business by granting exclusive licensing rights of its in-house digital-first food brands to food service company Kouzina. This move marks a strategic shift as Swiggy intensifies its focus on quick commerce and food delivery innovations.
Hindustan Petroleum
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation reported an increase of 18% in standalone net profit at Rs 3,355 crore for Q4FY25, on account of healthy marketing margins. It reported a net profit of Rs 2,843 crore in the year-ago period. Its net profit fell 11% sequentially, as it posted a profit of Rs 3,023 crore in Q3FY25. HPCL’s revenue from operations declined 2% to Rs 1.18 lakh crore in Q4FY25 as against Rs 1.21 lakh crore in the year-ago period.
KPIT Technologies
KPIT Technologies acquired Caresoft Global’s Engineering Solutions business for $191 million. The acquisition will drive the company’s expansion into the truck and off-highway engineering solutions sector and accelerate KPIT’s entry into the Chinese market. This also marks the KPIT’s entry into manufacturing engineering solutions for the mobility segment. The $191-million deal includes a $25-million variable consideration based on revenue milestones and other business synergy details.
Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto faced a double setback in April: not only did its retail market share in the domestic two-wheeler segment fall to a 30-month low, but it also lost its position to Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI). According to vehicle registration data from the Federation of Automobile Dealer Associations (FADA), the company’s market share slipped to 10.85% in April, its lowest since October 2022, when it stood at 9.98%
Paytm
One 97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, released its fiscal fourth quarter earnings report wherein it reported loss marginally narrowed to Rs 539.80 crore in comparison with a loss of Rs 549.60 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY24. However, on a sequential basis, the loss widened from Rs 208.3 crore recorded during the December quarter due to a one-time employee stock option cost, which led to a wider loss compared to the previous quarter.
Godrej Consumer Products
Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) swung back to profit in the quarter ended March, but missed Street expectations. The company on Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 412 crore in the fourth quarter of FY25 compared to a loss of Rs 1,893 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s consolidated revenue was up 6.2% to Rs 3,598 crore versus Rs 3,385 crore last year.
BSE
Bombay Stock Exchange’s (BSE) net profits skyrocketed 364% to Rs 493.04 crore in Q4FY25 fiscal year, compared with Rs 106.16 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The company’s revenue from operations rose 75% to Rs 847 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25, as against Rs 484 crore in the same period a year ago.
