Tinder has launched a new campaign across Asia, titled “Dating, Your Way,” which highlights the evolving dynamics of relationships and the diverse ways people navigate love and companionship. The campaign features three short films in India, each focusing on different dating experiences, particularly from the perspective of young women.
The narratives explore relatable moments—moving on from a breakup, bonding over shared quirks, and embracing differences in relationships. The underlying theme challenges the idea that dating must follow a fixed pattern, instead portraying it as a journey shaped by individual choices and experiences.
One of the stories, “Move On,” follows a woman who decides to let go of a past relationship, symbolised by giving away a pet turtle from her ex. Another film, “Double the Chill,” captures the ease of connecting with someone who shares even the most unusual habits, while “Love and Hate” depicts a couple navigating contrasting tastes yet finding compatibility in their differences.
“With fun and safe dating at the core of the experience, Tinder is about the endless possibilities that can unfold when two people connect. With this campaign, we’re celebrating the freedom to date without judgment—because whether you’re on Tinder to move on, move forward, or just move at your own pace, there’s no set way to date and every match has the potential to change lives in ways that people could never imagine,” Daniel Kim, VP APAC Marketing, Tinder, said.
Recent surveys indicate a shift in how young adults in India approach dating. A significant portion of relationships today begin online, with many singles prioritising shared interests over traditional expectations. The campaign reflects this changing landscape, emphasising self-discovery, personal preferences, and the idea that connections—whether fleeting or long-term—are valuable in their own right.
