Met Gala predictions settle in way before the actual invitation confirmations do. The severely exclusive fashion night witnessed plentiful debuts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. With this year’s official dress code as “Tailored For You,” K-pop stars in attendance served their interpretations of the same in their own unique ways.
K-pop fans were especially stunned to see most of BLACKPINK in the area. The sensational girl group members — Rose, Jennie and Lisa — were all there, minus Jisoo. S.Coups also took a detour from his never-ending duties as the SEVENTEEN leader to script his Met Gala debut.
Here all the K-pop stars that dazzled in the United States on Monday night.
BLACKPINK Rosé’s Saint Laurent connection
Back in 2021, Rosé was one of the first female K-pop idols to attend to event as a Saint Laurent ambassador. For her 2025 outing, she remained committed to her partnership with the leading brand as she walked out in a sleek black Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello suit.

BLACKPINK Jennie’s 2nd Met Gala
Meanwhile, her bandmate Jennie, stayed true to her Coco Chanel roots, making it her second time bearing the brand’s name at the Met Gala. The “Mantra” hit-maker, who came out to the NY event for the first time in 2023. switched from her former look of a vintage white satin bustier dress to a custom Chanel black tuxedo gown.
“Everything was inspired by the ’20s and the ’30s of the Coco Chanel runways. I just feel so good with the hat and everything!” she told Vogue red carpet host La La Anthony. “It was wonderful working with the Chanel team because coming from Coco Chanel’s legacy and history, it had everything to do with what we wanted to represent.”

BLACKPINK Lisa’s Met Gala debut
Staying on top of trends, Lisa’s first-ever Met outing was all about going sheer and pantless. Sporting a messy duo, the “Rockstar” crooner arrived shortly after Jennie, all sparkled-up in a bodysuit, with a long-sleeved jacket over the top, and tights decked in Louis Vuitton logos.
Celebrated artist Henry Taylor was behind Lisa’s show-stopping look for her Met Gala debut. According to Vogue UK, portraits spotted on the bodice of the K-pop diva’s ensemble were embroidered by him, whom Pharrell Williams hails a “genius.” Fans couldn’t take their eyes off the intricate detail how the “Born Again” hit-maker’s attire was emblazoned with the face of Rosa Parks, a highly revered American civil rights movement activist who famously refused to give up her bus seat to a white man.

SEVENTEEN’s S.Coups
As the leader of the K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN, S.Coups is currently preparing for a new comeback with his bandmates. Their fifth studio album “Happy Burstday” is due May 26 with their 10-year anniversary also coming up. Ahead of these musical milestones, the 29-year-old K-pop star consolidated his solo brand power with his Met Gala debut on Monday, May 5.
After joining forces with BOSS, the Korean rapper opted for the fashion brand’s monochromatic gray look featuring an oversized asymmetrical suit, bearing inspiration from South Korea’s traditional hanbok. SEVENTEEN fans, known as CARATs, are already obsessed with his first outing as a BOSS ambassador.
