Congratulations are in order. Winners of the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards are being announced at this very moment with this year’s ceremony currently underway at Coex in Gangnam District, southern Seoul.
Marking their seventh outing together, the Korean equivalent of the Golden Globes Awards has once again reunited Shin Dong Yup, Bae Suzy and Park Bo Gum as main hosts of the night. Following the annual pattern, the May 5, 2025, event also brought back together dearly beloved K-drama co-stars, including Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon of Lovely Runner fame, Seo In Guk and Jeong Eun Ji’s iconic duo from Reply 1997, and Private Lives co-stars Go Kyung Pro and Seohyun.
The Lovely Runner leads, who stole everyone’s hearts last year with their time-slip romance drama, kicked off the big awards night on a high as recipients of the 2025 Baeksang Arts Awards popularity titles. Among the stellar nominations at this year’s show, Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines, starring Park Bo Gum and IU, led the table with eight nods. Ju Ji Hoon-led The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and tvN’s Lovely Runner shared the top rank with the third-highest number of Baeksang nominations after MBC’s Doubt at No. 2.
