Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Neha Kant, founder, Clovia, talks to BrandWagon Online about her weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
No matter what my schedule is, I try to squeeze in an hour of tennis daily. The happiest time for me is spent on the court. It is fun going for impossible shots and making silly angles. You push yourself hard on the court but without the stress of the outcome. Other than that, spending time with my son takes up all of my non-work time. I am also addicted to Chess.com, which helps me take short 5–10-minute breaks between work.
How do you spend your weekends?
I spend my weekends catching up on much-needed sleep and getting through my to-do lists, both for work and personal tasks.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I had the option to choose another career, I would have loved to be in the field of sports. I have always been in love with the energy, passion, and beauty of sports. At one point, I was hugely inspired by the movie Jerry Maguire.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
I take two short vacations every year—one with my school friends and another with my college friends. For me, the destination is secondary; it’s the company of my favourite people that makes the trip truly special.
Can you recommend a TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign?
I would instead recommend a book – Open, Andre Agassi’s biography. You lose more than you win but what & when you win is most important. Focus on the right outcomes and not get beaten down by everyday losses. It is a beautiful recount of the highs and lows of his journey, reinforcing the idea that life is best lived when you don’t take yourself too seriously and embrace the ride.
