Sanjay Khanna has assumed additional charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation. Currently he serves as the Director (Refineries) in the company. This is after Krishnakumar Gopalan retired as Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation on April 30.
Sanjay Khanna also serves as a Director on the Boards of Bharat Petro Resources and Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals.Additionally, he is also the current Chairperson of ‘Technical Committee for petroleum Refineries’ under Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).
He has anchored key BPCL projects including setting up new process units in Refineries at Mumbai, Kochi and Numaligarh. As Director (Refineries) he headed Kochi and Mumbai Refineries of BPCL. He played a key role in commissioning the first ‘Niche Petrochemical’ project of BPCL, Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project (PDPP).
A Chemical Engineering graduate from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli and Postgraduate in Finance Management from Mumbai University, Khanna has over 3 decades of experience in refinery operations and technical services.
Meanwhile Raj Kumar Dubey has taken over the additional charge of Director (Marketing) of the company. Currently he serves as the Director (HR) on the board of BPCL.
BPCL Q4 results
Interestingly, BPCL just wrapped up its Q4 performance. The profit declined by 8% in the fourth quarter. However, the refining margins saw a significant improvement up over $4/bbl in. The company has declared a final dividend of Rs 5 per share.
