Television actor Lalit Manchanda passed away at his Meerut residence on Monday, April 21st, at the age of 36. The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) has confirmed the news.
A report in Amar Ujala mentioned that the actor had been facing financial difficulties in Mumbai and had returned to live with his family in Meerut approximately six months prior to his death. Manchanda had established a television career with roles in well-known series such as Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and DD National’s Sevanchal Ki Premkatha, where he played a father.
Lalit Manchanda’s television credits also include appearances in series such as India’s Most Wanted, Crime Patrol, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Lalit Manchanda was found dead at his residence in Meerut. Local law enforcement responded to a report of the incident and found the actor deceased. His body has been transferred to a local facility for a postmortem examination.

Authorities have begun inquiries with his family and close associates to ascertain potential causes, as no suicide note was found. Investigators are also considering the actor’s mental health and recent personal struggles. According to reports, those close to Manchanda indicated that he had been dealing with mental stress and personal challenges.
