The Salman-Rashmika starrer, Sikandar hit the big screens on Sunday, March 30. Releasing over the Eid 2025 weekend, it had a opening day of Rs 26 crore. Failing to make it to Salman’s top five all-time earners, Sikandar has grossed nearly Rs 94 crores over its six day theatrical run. The political-drama turned into a typical Bollywood-masala film quickly as reviews came out. Despite of the mixed reviews, the film had collected over Rs 90 crore in its debut week on screen.
With large anticipation of Sikandar’s OTT release date from Salman fans, the film stands at Rs 72 lakh hitting a new low on its first Saturday across all languages. The steep decline of over 40% in occupancy rates in domestic cinemas contrast with international box office numbers as Sikandar crossed Rs 40 crores globally in its first week.
Sikandar Box Office Collection
As per Sacnilk reports, the net collection in India in its first week has reached Rs 93.75 Crore taking the worldwide tally beyond Rs 150 crore. As of Day 6, Sikandar’s overseas collection was Rs 43 crore.
The AR Murugadoss directorial is also set to cross Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force in the overseas box office collection record. While the overall 7.38% occupancy rate does not seem promising, the numbers tell a different story. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, Sikandar’s reviews have been poor at best. Netizens joined the movie-bashing stride calling the actors’ performances poor and the screenplay loose.
However from the 6,413 shows running domestically, NCR has over 1600 shows, Chennai showed the maximum occupancy rate of merely 12%. Sikandar has also seen fluctuating IMDb ratings from 7.2 to 5.0 in its first week. On its first Saturday, it has returned to 7.5.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Grandsons with Salman Khan Films, Sikandar also stars , Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar in key roles.
